Thousands of fans from around the United Kingdom and the world will converge on Liverpool this October as International Pop Overthrow heads to the grand city for the first time, from October 13-19, with all shows to be held at the world famous Cavern Club!  IPO Liverpool will feature more than 80 of the best pop artists from all around the UK, Sweden, Spain, France, and The United States. International Pop Overthrow has had six successful years in Los Angeles,  and two successful years in New York, and Chicago.  It is only natural that the festival come to one of the greatest music cities in the world, Liverpool UK, making the festival truly international!

Now being touted as the largest music festival of its kind, IPO celebrates the music made famous by such pop heroes as The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Badfinger while also focusing on the vast amount of music being made today by those artists who rely on melodic songcraft to express their musical tastes.  From The Beatles to Green Day and Weezer, the International Pop Overthrow Music Festival celebrates the evolution of pop music.

International Pop Overthrow has been covered in several newspapers and magazines, including The Los Angeles Times, L.A. Weekly, OC Weekly, Billboard, CMJ, The Chicago Sun Times, The Chicago Reader, The Illinois Entertainer, New York Magazine, The New Yorker, The New York Post, BAM, Goldmine, Amplifier, and various international publications.

There will also be Label Nights hosted by Rainbow Quartz Records, Pink Hedgehog Records, and Warmfuzz Records.

Last but certainly not least, there will be a guest appearance by Merseybeats and Liverpool Express member Billy Kinsley, who will give a presentation on Thursday, October 16 at 6:00 p.m. on a wide variety of topics, including reminiscences and anecdotes about the many times he and his bands have appeared at The Cavern!   Venue:  Front stage at The Cavern.
