Biography |
The Anyones were formed
by pupils in January 1966; members of the group were Wolfgang
Hausmann (lead guitar, vocals), Thomas Meyer (rhythm guitar, organ,
vocal), Edgar Lorig (drums, vocal) and Dietmar Schrick (bass guitar,
lead vocals); first public appearance in March 67; the group won
several Beat contests in Germany; as part of a twin-town exchange
between Warrington and Hilden (Germany) they visited Warrington in
69 with several performances and a BBC Radio Merseyside
interview/recording; highlight of the UK visit was a one hour gig in
the old Cavern Club; in 1970 they recorded a test single at
Electrola at Cologne; the group split in 71; the group members still
meet from time to time to let the good old time revive!
