After the split of rock band Ikes Kansis in late 2002, Chris hung up his electric guitar and turned to the acoustic. Writing in more of an up beat, blues influenced style he dubbed the 'Sunshine Blues', he took to the stages around Leicester playing solo gigs under his old nickname.

Happy with the direction he was taking, in late 2016 he met up with the other ex-members of Ikes Kansis – Rob Connolley (Electric Guitar), Rob Crane (Bass) and James Merry (Drums) – and asked if they were interested in backing his music as a side project (as they had all since joined other bands). After their first jam in over two years it was evident that the magic was still there and wasn’t long before C*Bob became everyone’s primary focus as they started building a following in Leicester with a number of well received performances. In March 2005 along came old friend Neil Woolley on percussion and keyboards, completing their lineup and sound.

After much positive response to their self recorded and produced debut EP 'Ride The Waves', C*Bob & his ‘Sunshine Blues’ band are now working on bringing their music to the world, building on their fan base and playing their feel-good tunes all over the country.
