Biography
Daylight for Deadeyes is Chris Gormley (drums and vocals), Matt Gormley (guitar and vocals) and Andy (bass). As a three-piece, they have been playing together since 2015.

--->where are they from?

What is a Mississauga band to do? The first thing is that there is nowhere to arrive to without a car. Nothing is within walking distance. Everything is so huge. It’s like the land in the clouds where Jack arrived after climbing his beanstalk. Even the spaces between the sidewalks and the roads are the more or less the size of Bermuda. Sure, you have the convenience of strip malls and drive-thrus, gargantuous shopping centres and even more gargantuous parking lots, but in the end, the question repeats itself…. What is a Mississauga band to do? Suburbia has its own place in the music business sequence. It is where one can make the bulk of one’s revenue after one has a video on teenie-t.v.

All the cities and towns west of the Credit River are fighting over this Mississauga band-- don’t they know it? It’s like a dirty bar brawl of municipalities. In this bar, the customers are arguing over who knew them first, before they were famous, before they grew beards. But the band just stays on stage, their heads bobbing back and forth, not to watch the punches being swung but to punctuate their delightfully musical rhythms. You see, the band is above this bickering - they love us all equally and only want to feed our hungry souls with the delicious buffet of their music. They’re oblivious to our selfishness, they don’t even know how much we adore them and want them for our own personal use. So you bought the CD and you’re wearing the t-shirt, it just isn’t enough is it?

Take drummer Chris for example. His voice serenades you from your little ghetto blaster at night, but what you really want is to see him sweaty on stage behind his drum set rocking out. You want him to beat those drums like he means it and you want to cry in your beer one more time when he sings “Leave”. You don’t want him to get up and go home, you want his face on television, in your music review paper, you want more! More! More! You feel dirty and shy because you know that you got in for free to see the band when you really should have been paying a cover charge.

And bassist Andy-boy. You wish he were your physics tutor, your chess partner, your secretary, anything to get to see him on more than a weekly basis. You want to make sure that he eats three square meals a day and gets 5-10 daily servings of fruits and vegetables so that he can continue to delight you on Thursday nights at the Flamingo. He once played a bass riff so intense that when he was done; he spit out a rubicks cube that was only one twist away from being solved. Andy please turn up the volume and give us more cowbell please.

Last, but not least of all, guitarist Maverick Matt. He must’ve been a lumberjack in a previous life because boy, can he ever swing an axe. Seriously though, this guy is so good he could use his guitar to get out of (or into) any situation. He’s able to smoke a dart while holding the longest note, and sing harmonies while lying on his back and playing his Gibson.

Matt + Andy-boy + Chris = Daylight for Deadeyes and they are guaranteed to bring rock to your life. They are tight and all right, playing music that Jesus would want to rock out to if he were still around. Elvis would like them a lot too
