the
eventide were formed in 2002 in liverpool and recorded their first
ep “five” shortly after. they played at various north-west
venues such as the cavern, barfly and the night and day and they
recorded an acoustic radio session for dave monks on kcr 106.7fm.
in
july 2005 they recorded their second ep “blank thoughts” at parr
street studios. this was produced by jon witnal (who has previously
worked with coldplay and alfie).
the
eventide have just signed a deal with matchbox recordings to promote
their music worldwide, through national and international radio
stations as well as digital mediums such as i-tunes.
the eventide have no
specific influences but have been described as both
"reminiscent of late verve" and "a heady mix of
insecticide-era nirvana and catchy britrock"

melodic with enough originality to make you stick with them.”
