| Biography |
Gooze is a blues/rock
trio from Sweden that will be playing the Cavern club for the
2nd time during their 7th tour of the UK .
Gooze was formed 1992 and since that
performed hundreds of gigs, at pubs, local festivals,
jazz- and rock clubs and even churches.
The conditions varies from long hot sweaty Swedish summer
nights in the Stockholm arcipellagio, to ice-cold
winter, deep snow, dark and tough to even get to the
gigs.
The 3 guy´s who have different tastes of music have learned
one thing, you can play whatever type of music you want, but
there has got to be a beat to it, cause people are there to drink,
dance (not in the Church maybe) and have a good time.
That and also the quarterly Gooze congresses with food,
drinks and strange Gooze-rituals have forged the
band together to a brotherhood and a certain sound, note
the typical 3-piece blues/rock sound dynamic with very
rythmic bass, jazzy drums, bluesy guitar and a howling blues
harmonica to top it all. The guys are of course
local heroes in their hometown in Sweden as well as in
Hereford, England, a place they always love returning to.
In Sweden they've been touring with UK based "Freezone"
from Hereford.
Gooze have released a few number of CD:s but they should be
seen and heard live, Come to see them!
