Kalena,
as you currently see them, first mobbed together in Sep/Oct 2015.
What has happened between then and now has been, according to a
number of “musos”, phenomenal.
Despite
their relatively short stretch within rock n roll, Kalena ooze the
autonomous swagger of a band that have been motivated by the level
headed perceptions that characterise one of British music’s most
vital bloodlines from The Who to The Jam to The Charlatans.
Driven
by, a sharp Leiceter wit, clued up observations and a vision which
takes in everything from “Quadrophenia” to “Dead Man’s
Shoes”, their operation is a double barrelled assault.
The
band have drafted a compatible army of fans, many absorbed in the
same tales of middle england life who have witnessed uncountable
live dates in small venues around the country.
With
brisk vocals, involving lyrics and precise melodies, Kalena deliver
power, distinction and self-determination to put themselves where
many want to be.
