Background:

The Mags are a four piece rock and roll band based in Liverpool. Their Sound is riotous and raw but always melodic and accessible. They have recently played live on BBC1, and can currently be found gigging at venues nationwide. A university tour is planned for September/October. The band will be releasing an as yet untitled EP to coincide with this tour.

Highlight:

Playing live on BBC1. The Mags were recommended to BBC researchers as a good local band – The result? Playing live to 2 million people at 8.30am from a local guitar shop!

Lowlight:

Traveling to Norfolk to play an illegal rock festival in summer 2015 – Only for the police to raid the site and shut down the event, 15 minutes before they were due onstage. (4am…!)

Random Facts:

Anthony Wilkinson won BBC Young Songwriter of the Year in 1994!!

Mark Bleasdale has recently left his job as a doorman to concentrate fully on his music.

Greig Wilding has been claiming job seekers allowance for 9 years.

Mike Kennedy has recently had a warrant issued for his arrest (!) due to non payment of parking fines… 

They are aged 21, 22, 25 & 25.
