Mañana
are five promising teenagers from Basel, Switzerland. Touring with British bands
Keane and I Am Kloot in 2016 and local heroes Lovebugs, the band have built a
wide and dedicated following. Miss Evening, their signature song, is on the videogame
FIFA Football 2005, expanding that following to the whole
planet. The Fast Days EP has given Mañana national radio airplay since its
Europe release in early 2016 with the release of the title track Fast Days and
now their new single Miss Evening.
Mañana’s music is a mixture of
melodic indie-pop with experimental elements, drawing their inspiration from
The Doves, U2 and The Verve and other groundbreaking British acts of recent
years. On their first EP Fast days, the band combined dreamy melodies and
sudden emotional outbursts, songs soaked in melancholy, but deeply optimistic
at the same time. Manuel Bürkli’s powerful and lamenting voice gives these
emotions their direction and the bands unique identity
