"To
be oneself as the only way to the light" that's what the Melon
Rouge declare to explain the approach towards their own creative
instincts. Marta Argenio (vox, bass), Maurizio Stellato (guitar) and
Ivo Parlati (drums) join in a trio-band in January 2015 giving life
to a strong impact rock band that doesn't abdicate melody and
harmony; qualities that denote great artistic maturity, result of
the so many musical experiences they've done within more than ten
years. The summer 2015 sees them winners of the contests: "AREZZO
WAVE LOVE FESTIVAL 2015", "SIXDAYSONICMADNESS 2015",
"SONICA 2015", "TERME LIVE FESTIVAL 2015"; they
also partecipate in the relative compilations: "AREZZO WAVE
LOVE FESTIVAL 2015", "SONICA 2015" (out with n° 568
of the magazine "Il Mucchio Selvaggio"), "TERMELIVE
2015". As an international target project, the Melon Rouge
promote their music in Europe and the originality of their songs
arouses not little interest. During 2015 and 2016 they performe in
many italian cities and some of their songs are broadcasted by
RADIO RAI 1(first national radio), RADIO CITTA' FUTURA (Rome), RADIO
CITTA' APERTA(Rome), RADIO POPOLARE (Milan). Summer 2016 sees them
winners of the contests: "MTV ON STAGE" sponsored by
TUBORG (they performe at "ALCATRAZ" in Milan as
opening-act to "THE DISTILLERS" and they are guests at the
"MTV DAY 2016" in Bologna), "M'ARTE LIVE 2016"
in Rome, "NONSOLOROCK FESTIVAL 2016", "SPAZIO GIOVANI
FESTIVAL 2016" and "MILANO FILM FESTIVAL 2016". On
the 30th of July they also performe at "POLLINO MUSIC FESTIVAL
2016" as opening-act to the AFTERHOURS. In November they
performed at the showcase of MEI 2016 (indipendent labels meeting
26-27-28/11/2016) and in December 2016 they've been in concert in
LONDON at "The Hayfield", "The Biddle Brothers"
and the "SOUTHERN K". Next May the Melon Rouge will
play the “INTERNATIONAL POP OVERTHROW 2005”, performing at the
CAVERN CLUB in Liverpool;they’ll be the first and unique Italian
act invited to play IPO FESTIVAL.
