Formed in the South West in early 2005 British Indie Rockers Mendez found immediate local success by winning first place in ELUK’s battle of the bands.  Since then the 5 lads from a small Devonshire town have rocked venues such as London’s Rock Garden and The Plymouth Hub and are soon to play at the prestigious Liverpool Cavern.

Who’s Who 

Darrel “The Saf” Smith – Vocals 
Co-founder of Mendez, Darrel has been singing and writing for many years.  He has a menacing presence on stage but with a glint in his eyes he creates a great rapport with his audience. 

Pete “Pedro” Carroll – Lead Guitar/Vocals 
Co-founder of Mendez Pete has also been writing for a number of years and honing his skills on guitar since time began.  Quiet and calm, he is Mendez’s secret weapon!

Kieran “Mendez” Jacques – Rhythm Guitar 
A talented musician who on stage is absorbed by his music, but blink and you’ll miss his cheeky antics.  The joker of the band. 

James “Stan” Stannard – Bass 
An ear for a base line and an eye for the ladies, James is one base player who does not shy away from the limelight. 

Anthony “The Swan” Dunn – Drums 
A new member of the band, Ant is an all round awesome musician who proves his talent when he plays the drums.  Young, focused and dangerous!
