Night and Day Cafe Mon 27th June 2005.
A glorious sunny day welcomed all to the Night & Day Cafe, where
a promising
Warringtonian quartet came out to play. The Overlook opened with
what appeared to be a
mirage by way of the upbeat and racing number 'Blueprint',
but its reality hit you like the taste of a cold carling after
a ten year stretch. Their
melodious and intriguing sound carrried on throughout the set with
live favourite
"Summer No4", then a welcoming blues cloud slowly appeared
overhead via "In
The End". The thoughtful and meandering vocals of front man
Shane Walsh touched hearts and tingled senses. The set climaxed when
he poured out an emotive
and sincere performance over a satisfied and moved
crowd with forthcoming single; "Avalanche". Thus proving
to all that this
is one band who should not be overlooked. Review
