Biography |
Hailing from the other
side of the M62, this Hull-based band are making huge strides
towards an inevitable career in the music industry, and are spreading
their name thanks to breath-taking performances in such venues as
the Cavern.
This five-piece draw their inspiration from the likes of Liverpool's
very own The
Coral, and the legendary Inspiral Carpets, while other influences
are known to come from
the lead singer's imaginative head.
Jon Corbett is the
man in question, and his ability to write songs and play any
instrument going,
including his own banjo string, are the main reason why
Park&Ride appeal
to the masses, rather than just the select few. The
remaining four feature:-
Simon Wainwright - the blonde haired guitarist, who
as well as having the worst temper in the band can also throw a mean
lawn dart.
Damian Burton - keyboarder and the looker in the band -
probably the main reason
why so many females attend their gigs, plus, he's also pretty good
at playing
chop-sticks.
Paul Leonard -
bass - a bass we've all seen far too many times. Lenno is arguably
the most out-going member of the band, at least when Damian's
having a bad day, and
has a passion for doing things in threes.
Freddie Minns -
drums. Even weekends at Scout camp can't slow this man down, as
he proved by making a Manchester gig with minutes to spare earlier
in the year.
Damian is his role model, and he hopes to one day have just as much
money as the big man.
