Parklane was formed in
the spring of 2001 by brothers Joe and John Carson, since then the
line up has been changed several times. The band at this point in
time has a great feel to it; everyone in the band loves playing
and creating music together. Parklane's music has been described
as hard pop with melodic back beat and vocal harmonies. The songs
are written by Joe and John and then taken into the studio for the
whole band to work on Parklane are currently compiling a new album

top talent. Tailgunner (Tuesday September 26, 2005 1:38 PM ) Gig
played on 25/09/2005 Venue: King Tut's Wah Wah Hut (Glasgow) You
see, tonight Tailgunner suffered the indignity of following the
city's very own Parklane, an indigenous five piece who've pretty
much filled the venue. With their melodic harmonies and anthem
style tunes they where a tough act to follow. Mark Coyle is far
from fazed by this, barely acknowledges the crowd, and credibly,
doesn't exactly try to appeal to them. Following the searing
closure of 'Acetone', he treats those of us still watching by
setting a guitar alight, leaving the stage as the flame takes
hold. One might even suggest that Tailgunner are this country's
answer to the American alt-rock explosion. They get At The
Drive-In and Queens of the Stone Age, we get Mark Coyle with Noel
Gallagher on drums (only on the record mind, he doesn't like
touring). by Aaron Scullion
