Biography

PETER CONRAD has been a singer/songwriter/performer in the Central Ohio area of the USA for over 30 years.  Both as a solo artist and with his band PCB (the Peter Conrad Band), he performs an average of 100 gigs a year and for the last 3 years has been a featured performer at the 3-day Beatles Festival “Abbey Road On The River”, in Cleveland, OH.  In 2015, Louise Harrison invited Peter to perform at the benefit concert “It Was 40 Years Ago, Today” in Benton, IL, celebrating her brother George’s first visit and impromptu performance in America in September of 1963.  In 2002, Peter organized and performed with PCB at the “Tribute To George Harrison” benefit show at the Thirsty Ear Tavern in Grandview, OH, which featured musicians performing the music of George Harrison.  In May of 2016, Peter performed at The Cavern Club and at the Hard Rock Café’s “Vault” in London, England.

Since 1997, Peter has been the host of the “Saturday Night Electric Open Stage” at the Dolphin Lounge in Gahanna, OH.  He has appeared on TV & radio programs in the Central Ohio area, and has produced music videos and television specials featuring his original music.
In 2002, Peter was one of the finalists in the “Columbus Rock Idol” contest, sponsored by radio station WLVQ-FM96 in Columbus, OH.

In 1999 Peter released his first solo CD, “Dream Come True” to very favorable reviews on the music site www.garageband.com.  In 2001 he wrote and recorded the song “Goodbye George” as a tribute to George Harrison, which was released as a CD single in 2002. In 2015, after hearing Peter perform “Goodbye George”, Liverpudlian and former Beatles promoter Sam Leach said that the song was “excellent and very poignant.”

From an interview for “Goodbye George” on WLVQ-FM96 in Columbus, OH – Oct. 2002:

“Very nicely done…very melodic…great job, you hit the mark. I’m hearing the George Harrison influence, not only from his lines and stuff, but you kinda tip-toe up to him vocally & musically, but without being overbearing about it. Just outstanding!“

From the WWW.ABBEYROADONTHERIVER.COM Guest-book

“I think a lot of people missed out on seeing GREAT performances by Peter Conrad.”

- John Williams – Detroit, MI

“Peter Conrad was a pleasant surprise. His George songs were so sincere...great performance, Peter!” - Eloise Costello – Fanwood, NJ
