In October 2016, two
friends from Leicester left failing Indie band The Reign and
joined up with a third to form a new one. It would avoid the
internal politics and backstabbing of past bands and be fun to be
a part of.
For almost a year, Stone Cat Blues (Tom, Kevin and Ciaran) went
from strength to strength, gaining a good reputation and a growing
collection of contacts.
Then came September 2005 and with it some major changes. Kevin
pissed off to Sheffield then Tom pissed off to Ugli, and the band
was forced to split. Poor old Ciaran.
For the next year everyone went off into their own musical
projects: Tom had endless gigs with Ugli; Kevin started writing
with singer and old friend James Robinson; and Ciaran joined punk
band Helical.
In August 2006 the trio got back together for a jam and invited
James to take the mic. All the old magic was still there; and the
original SCB members extra experience combined with the new
dynamic of a dedicated singer made it better than ever. The old
name and material was dropped in favour of a fresh start; and so
Quaternary Limit was born.
