Winter
2000, all over Liverpool was cold and raining. There's was barely a
sound save muffled twanging and giggling. Crawling, somehow bright
eyed, but far from bushy tailed, out of alleyways and from under
rocks came the raindogs, searching for smells of
their kind, long since washed away into puddles and sprayed over
people at bus stops...........they found each other through their
cries, like strangled hawks they could be heard across the
city....and then they united and played the music of Tom
Waits.......
Since
those cold winter evenings the raindogs have been found in pubs and
clubs across the North West of England. They entertain with
music so diverse that it haunts your soul one minute, and has
audiences leaping and dancing the next. The music ranges from blues
ballads to jazz/rock/funk, those who hear it rarely look back. At a
recent Tom Waits convention the raindogs headlined, playing a 4 hour
set which left the audience relentlessly calling for more (for they
are all raindogs too)
Be
prepared to be entertained.......
