All sibling Bradford
band Real Eyez formed in 2005. Their musical journey began in 1980
whan as part of ska/reggae band Spectre they supported artists
such as Lee Perry, Aswad, Eek-a-mouse and Augustus Pablo.
Spectre split in 1990
but the 3 brothers re-grouped a decade and a half later under
their current (new) name.
The band have gigged
around the West Yorkshire region, winning over a diversity of
audiences with their high quality music and vibrant live show.
Their debut show was a
support slot to respected UK jazz funk trombonist Dennis Rollins
at the Bradford International festival. They also performed at the
opening gala of the Bite the Mango Film Festival in 2005.
With a sound formed by
reggae, 2tone and the "message soul" of Stevie Wonder
and Sly Stone, tasty beats, infectious melodies and articulate
lyrics are the order of the day.
