Ruby Gunslinger set out
to play good time chaotic, dirty rock and roll.
Frontwoman Anna Kalinski, bassist Luke Watson and guitarist Simon
Lunn aim to
compose intricate but classic songs, each slightly different to the
next.
Their music is characterised by self deprecating, innuendo ridden
lyrics, Lunn's dexterous guitar work, Watsons' melodic funky bass,
A.D Porter's thundering drumming, and frontwoman Kalinski's
distinctive guttural vocals, and energetic presence on the
stage.
Influences and reverences centre around classic rock bands, funk and
Blues; the likes of Guns and Roses, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith,
The Stooges, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Van Halen.
