The band officially
formed in late January 2000 with members: Sefton Kimberley-Downes,
Arran McLellan, Ross McLellan . Our original style of music was 'Indie
rock'. As time developed so did the music and the style became more
alternative.
The Band played it's
first gig in June 2001 at the Army and Navy in Chelmsford in Essex.
Since their first gig the band has released three e.p's all funded,
designed, and created completely by the band, these are 'The Fight
Plan, The Mirror and The Fragments e.p's
'Fly Away' was chosen
to be made in to Silver Serpent's first music video, which again was
completely designed, made and funded by the band, incorporating
computer animated 3D graphics with footage of the band.
As well as gaining
media coverage in local newspapers like the Essex Chronicle and the
Halstead Gazette they have also managed success on the internet
releasing the track 'Fly Away' on MP3. COM getting to number 24 in
the alternative music chart.
Silver Serpent has
played top Camden venue 'The Bull and Gate' on several occasions
recently headling. Other gigs include 'The Harlow Square', 'The
Twist' in Colchester 'Postellos Nightclub' in Bury St Edmunds and
'The Cellar' in Bracknell.
