Pounding beats,
screaming guitars, soulful vocals and incredible anthemic songs;
SILVERSKY have all the hallmarks
of a classic British indie-rock band.
The band are:
Matt Mansfield (vocals, guitar, percussion, keyboards, songwriting)
Mike Appleton (guitars, vocals, songwriting)
John Sampson (bass, guitars, keyboards, harmonica, vocals,
songwriting)
Yohann Saide (drums, percussion, violin, keyboards, vocals,
songwriting)
Over the last 2 years, SILVERSKY have developed a sound that draws
on many styles and influences, and merged them in a way
that only THEY can. Praise has come from far and wide, with a
fanbase now spread as far as America, Australia and New
Zealand all feeling the emotion and passion that the band convey
through their music.
In early January 2005, the band teamed up with top London-based
production team The Animal Farm (http://www.theanimalfarm.co.uk)
to produce what would become the CD that would catapult them into
the public eye;
the “One More Time” EP. Three incredible indie-rock songs,
showing a craft and depth of songwriting that few other
bands can match. The EP has brought them A&R, publishing and
management attention from the UK and USA, and
has gained airplay on BBC London, BBC Kent, Channel 4, RTE (Ireland)
and countless internet-based radio stations and
podcasts. Other tracks by the band have appeared on worldwide
releases, and gained praise from DJ’s on Radio 1, Virgin
Radio and BBC 6 Music.
Their gigging pace has been frenetic: national gig dates, London
showcases, an appearance at Guilfest 2005 headlined by PAUL
WELLER, gigs in France and in Ireland (supporting THE REVS), and a
performance at London’s SHEPHERDS BUSH EMPIRE
all proving that, as a live act, SILVERSKY can cut it with the best,
and are NOT to be missed.
