Snakeksin
were born when Chris Else and a school friend decided to form a band
that captured the energy, fun, and flamboyance of 80s rock n roll
bands such as Skid Row, Motley Crue, Van Halen but also had a hint
of bands such as Iron Maiden mixed in.
Bassist
Alex Rozynski then joined shortly before Arran Broadhead joined to
form snakeskins solid rhythm section. After playing two local gigs,
singer and founder member James Headley left the band as things
weren't really working out. A friend of Alex's and huge Bon Jovi fan
Richard Wilkinson soon joined and things immediately went to another
level as the talented singer brought his own touch to the songs
giving Snakeksin a distinctive sound that really comes into its own
in a live atmosphere.
During
2005 the band played around 15 gigs around the east midlands
impressing every audience that saw them, including a judging panel
at a battle of the bands which placed them 1st out of 9 bands on the
night, gaining the band a place in the final.
The
band have also earned themselves a gig with Riot Promotions in
Nottingham which promises to lift the band to another level. The
band have also just recorded a 3 track EP which features the the
rocking hufe riffed "All Outta Love", the heart warming
power ballad "The One" and good time grooving rocker
"Rock Me Two More Times". Other Snakeskin favourites on
2005 first demo include the live favourite "Catwoman" and
fast paced metal track "Ready To Rock"
This
year the band hope to build more of nationwide fan base by getting
out on the road and rocking a town near you!
