| Biography |
Formed in the summer of
2015, Solomon are a North-West based band who play original
Acoustic-style pop/rock. Solomon like to keep their music melodic
and tuneful, with songs
ranging from the more accessible to those with a greater
sense of ambition and musical depth.
Having written enough material for a full album, Solomon have
recorded a 4-track
EP entitled "The Twilight Sessions," which is serving as
both a demo CD
and a source of band funds through sales at gigs. Written, recorded,
produced and financed
entirely by the band, "The Twilight Sessions" represents
Solomon's greatest success to date and it has secured them gigs,
radio airplay/live
sessions, management interest and steady sales.
Solomon have played a selection of venues in the Manchester/Liverpool/Cheshire
area, and the overall response to these gigs from
audiences and fellow musicians alike has been extremely favourable.
While their style may be
at odds with current trends in the area, Solomon do not
feel it necessary to be attached to any particular city or
"scene" and would
prefer to be judged on the merits of their music and live
performances alone.
Looking to the future, Solomon are keen to secure the services of a
top class manager
with drive and ambition (and hopefully a few contacts!) to take
them on to the next level. A publishing deal is also high on the
agenda, as well as
playing more gigs at bigger venues such as universities and
colleges. They are currently back in the studio working on the next
EP, which has a
working title of "The Dawn Materials."
