Strategic
Intent
have a sound that combines melodic rock
riffs and punk-pop
hooks to create catchy songs around their distinctive vocal delivery.
Formed
in 2005 by vocalist Stu Lynch and brothers Pete & Dave Horobin
in Stockport near Manchester, with drummer Neil Hodgkinson joining
12 months later, Strategic Intent have built any impressive
catalogue of original material.
Their eagerly awaited debut album ‘An
Eye for An Eye’ was released in April 2006, and has
received stunning reviews from fans and the industry alike.
Following
the release of the album, the band’s current line up was completed
when Craig Oates joined as the bands bassist.
Since then Strategic Intent have been steadily building a
reputation for themselves in Manchester’s live music scene,
including a headline gig at the 2006
Swap festival.
Songs
such as 'Time' and 'Blue Light' have received regular radio air play
and rave reviews. Their track 'Song 41' is to be featured on
a DVD for major release in the UK, documenting the rise of My Chemical
Romance.
