Biography

Strategic Intent- 21st Century Rock!

Strategic Intent have a sound that combines melodic rock riffs and punk-pop hooks to create catchy songs around their distinctive vocal delivery.

Formed in 2005 by vocalist Stu Lynch and brothers Pete & Dave Horobin in Stockport near Manchester, with drummer Neil Hodgkinson joining 12 months later, Strategic Intent have built any impressive catalogue of original material.  Their eagerly awaited debut album ‘An Eye for An Eye’ was released in April 2006, and has received stunning reviews from fans and the industry alike.

Following the release of the album, the band’s current line up was completed when Craig Oates joined as the bands bassist.  Since then Strategic Intent have been steadily building a reputation for themselves in Manchester’s live music scene, including a headline gig at the 2006 Swap festival.

Songs such as 'Time' and 'Blue Light' have received regular radio air play and rave reviews. Their track 'Song 41' is to be featured on a DVD for major release in the UK, documenting the rise of My Chemical Romance.
