The Music
An Original Portrail of British Rock and Roll, started in
the Streets of Liverpool in Autumn 1999. With fast paced riffs and
melodic Ballads we call it Northwest Rock. The
lyrics add an extra edge to the package in whose influences are evident
in the ever changing world.
The History
In the Autumn of 1999 young Huckleberry Finn arrived to
Liverpool to study Popular Music at the University and to find a band.
Similarly Matt went to Liverpool to study Engineering and to creep into
the rock and roll. Both
joined the Band Society and met at the jukebox at the societies first
meeting in the local pub. Matt and Sammy hit it off from a similar
choice of jukebox tunes and started a band rehearsing at the University Guild of students building. After a few line
up changes Sunday poet played the BBC Music Live Festival with the
Thompson twins Martin and Paul in Summer 2000. Sammy went back to
Finland to study at his home university, got bored, quit the school and
formed Sunday Poet again, opened Club 962 in January 2002 with yet
another line up drafting in Juha and Thomas. The rest is not history but
History in the making.
