Biography |
The Syndromes started as
a trio of friends over ten years ago, Gez and el who
had been in partnership previously wanted to write music that
covered all there
music tastes. Over the coming months the bases of Syndromes songs
fell into place. James
Wright who had been interested in the duos song writing
joined to from a new band, using parts of the songs crafted over the
past year. The band were
invited to play at the Springfield hotel in front of
a crowd well over 400 at Spring-stock . The night was a success and
the band gained
experience and positive feedback. Long time friend Fabian Owen
joined in mid 2005.
Fabian brought melodic alternative bass lines that completed
the Syndromes sound. A battle of the bands was due to take place
in Llandudno, and The
Syndromes were recommended for the bill. The band played
a 20 minute set and won 2nd place and a best song writing award for
the songs only just
completed. Now looking to record the songs, the band went
to Autumn road studios in Wrexham to lay down 7 tracks for there
mini Album
"Shaded In Black". The recording and mixing took just
under a week in October
2005. Along with an interview the mixing process was filmed by the
BBC in "Video
nation". To celebrate the release, the band threw a party with
close friends and played
all 7 songs from the album. The band finished the year
selling over 100 copies of the shaded in black album and booked
dates for 2006.
In the New Year the syndromes played with 10 other local acts at
the Stiwt theatre in
February. The show was their best yet and 50 free cds and
5 shaded albums were shifted within minutes after the band left the
stage. One month later
and the band found them selves on the bill for a panic
promotions gig at Mcleans. After the show the band received numerous
complements from the
audience and alsothe shows organisers. For 2oo6 the band
are organising headlining shows around the north east and plan to
head back to the
studio to record new material. Stick around to see fate reveal
