Biography |
The Vals are a hard hitting, no
nonsense rock and roll band from west Belfast. In they're short existence
they have conquered the local music scene in belfast, as well as
spreading the word across the water. Recently the band have cemented
this stature by playing in venues such as the famous Cavern Club in
Liverpool, home of the Beatles, and also in London playing The
Brixton windmill, representing Belfast. Also the band have recorded
tracks for promotional release only on radio, this has in turn
caused a stir in the states being played on Boston radio and
also New-Jersey and Manhattan radio station Altrok F.m alongside
such bands as Coldplay and the Flaming Lips, and also
Stations in England, Wales and also Dublin's Phantom F.m and Near
F.m.The Band are Paul Doherty- Singer/Songwriter/guitarist, Owen
Duffy-Bass, Pierre Boudin-Lead Guitarist and Marty Malone-Drums.The
Bands sound can be associated with they're love of bands such as The
Beatles and also The Who, this is evident in both they're music and
they're live shows.In the summer of 2006 the band recorded they're
debut album 'for the soulful' and set out on a tour also taking in
the Cavern club, the Zanzibar and also a support slot with Echo and
the Bunnymen at Feile, the west Belfast festival. keep er
