Wonderwall
generated enthusiasm during Beatle Week 2001 by playing more
obscure gems of The Beatles. “Sour Milk Sea”, written by
George Harrison for Jackie Lomax’s Apple release, “Is This
What You Want?” definitely got a lot of attention. So inspired
was drummer/vocalist Stan Bullock, that he contacted Jackie Lomax
at his website to express how well the song was received. Jackie
was also excited and decided it was time to play again in his old
hometown, where his daughters had not heard him play. In addition
to scheduled shows this year, Wonderwall provided musical support
to Jackie at the Cavern Club Back. “We are very honored and
excited of the opportunity, says Stan; “It was not difficult to
recruit the “topper most” musicians, once the deal was
made.” Marc Diffendal, bass/vocals, and Stan Bullock return to
Liverpool with two new recruits, Brad Newell and Chuck Martin.
Resumes of these guys read like “Who’s Who” in the music
business. Ronald Tucker is the newest member of Wonderwall. He has
been the front man for many local original bands such as "Stratocruiser",
"Bullwinkel Ghandi", and "Poppynosh." Ronald
has numerous releases including his solo effort "Clone Farm
Carnival." Chuck Martin, guitarist/vocalist, has entertained
all over the southeast, opening for such acts as The Doobie
Brothers, The Raspberries, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath. Chuck
has also worked as a session guitarist for the legendary Ray
Stevens and co-wrote “The Feeling’s Not Right Again.” In
addition, Chuck has assisted as band leader/music director for
productions of “A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline.” Music from
Marc, Stan, Chuck, and Ronald can be accessed at www.neonpie.com
as Clone Farm Carnival, Lava Lamp Explosion!, Poppynosh, and
Bullwinkel Ghandi. Wonderwall will be performing post-Beatle music
as well as many less heard favorites, sure to delight all Beatle
fans.
