Bochum Parkway are a
five piece band from Sheffield formed in the summer of
2016. The band is made
up of Collings, Joel, Steve, Dennis and Gaffer.
After a series of gigs
at the Sheffield Boardwalk in Autumn 2016 they were
selected to play at a
best of local bands 2016 Christmas show at the
Leadmill.
Since the Christmas
show Bochum Parkway have been busy gigging, mainly in
Sheffield, London and
Leeds, and writing new material. The band are
currently recording
their fourth EP.
Bochum Parkway have a
sound that is decribed as 'smooth, funky, rocked up
disco' and 'a breath
of fresh air to the northern music scene'. Their sound
has also been
described as a cross between the Happy Mondays and The Fall.
The band's influences
include New Order, My Bloody Valentine, Joy Division,
Flowered Up and Campag
Velocet.
