At the age of 14, Lisa got the idea of making money by playing on the streets.
She grabbed the guitar and forced her younger sister to join her. It was a perfect place for them to
practise and grow as musicians.
After a few years and many gigs later Lisa met Anna in school. Since Calaisa were in need of a violinist
they asked her to play with them. Without hesitation she said yes and it didn’t take long before Anna’s
sister Malin also joined the band.
Malin, who only was 14 at that time had to learn to play the accordion with in a week before Calaisa went on
their first tour: Poland and Ireland. Soon they started to write their own music, which they describe as
country pop/rock with influences from Ireland. Their fist song they ever wrote “Djam di da” still is
their favourite song.
A lot of touring and performing have made the girls grown together with a unique sound and a great future...
They write their own music and love to play live where they feel emotionally connected to the audience. With
a lot of passion for what they do and believe in, they keep on no matter what, aiming to reach as many
people as possible!!!
