The Chase are a four piece band from Manchester. Originally a five, the band has seen a number of changes since it's formation a few short years ago. Frontman Stephen Scott is now responsible for rhythm guitar as well as vocals, with Stephen Costelloe (bass), Len Ross (lead) and Dave Shortt (drums) completing the current lineup.

Over the past few years The Chase have been relentlessly playing gigs in and around the city of Manchester, only breaking this habit to play in the final of the National Student Music Awards (in which they finished as runners up) and to play the Hard Rock Cafe in Birmingham. This wealth of live experience the band has attained has resulted in The Chase moulding themselves into an irresistible live act playing good, honest and exciting music.

The band are not afraid to wear their influences on their sleeves, freely admitting to finding inspiration in such artists as The Beatles, The Las, The Buzzcocks and Neil Young. This variety of influences has been pivotal in creating the unmistakable and unique sound that makes The Chase such a memorable act.
