Formed
in the ashes of various Lincolnshire bands, the Clone Romeo story
began when singer/guitarist Gareth John and bassist Harry Michaels
dropped out of university to persue a future in music. With hard
hitting drummer Danny Smith, they quickly earned a reputation as a
"power trio", delivering hard, gritty alternative rock,
with anthemic choruses soaked in riffs and energy.
In
February '05, the band won a charity fundraiser Battle of the Bands,
helping to raise over 600 pounds for the Meningitis Research Trust.
In
the spring, the band were invited to support a touring NYC band for
two nights in Germany. After two knockout shows, the band were
offered a two month European tour in the fall. Rocking in Austria,
Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and
Italy, Clone Romeo won many fans across Europe.
"Whore"
is the band's 11 track sampler, recorded in the UK and mastered in
Germany. Tracks can be heard at www.myspace.com/cloneromeo
Now,
Clone Romeo continue their musical assault on the UK.
