DEAD
WASPS formed just over a year ago in Staffordshire, in the heart of
the Midlands, UK, by Gary Wildsmith and Hayley Mitchell.
The
duo recently relocated to Manchester and began work on their debut
album due for release early Summer 2006.
Dead
Wasps in their short life, have already played support slots
alongside the likes of Client, The Soho Dolls and Forward Russia.
The
band received rave reviews on well known internet music sites,
featured on the August 2005 coverdisk of renowned music magazine
Computer Music, and were a featured artist on the International
Diesel-U-Music website.
In
such a short space of time Dead Wasps have quickly earned
themselves a reputation for crafting exciting new music that sits
in a non-defining genre, touching on a hybrid of electro, funk,
indie, retro and soul.
