HEADSTAND are the most electrifying band to emerge from London in recent years.
Their explosive live performance and raw, stripped down sound serves as a constant reminder of just how well
a 3-piece band can fully engage and captivate an audience.
Having met and played together in college, Elliott (guitar/vocals), Mez
(drums/backing vocals) and Phil (bass/backing vocals) finally decided to form HEADSTAND in early 2002.
Clawing their way out of the suburbs of South London, HEADSTAND are steadily carving a niche for themselves
away from passing trends. A band, who at their most potent on stage, are gradually building a steady
following with audiences who are looking for a new and advanced style of rock.
Following a string of successful shows in Philadelphia and New York City at
the end of 2002, HEADSTAND immersed themselves in some serious song writing with Elliott penning most of the
lyrics and all three of the band writing the music.
HEADSTAND are currently busy breaking in new material to an eager London
audience. With their love for life and their love for performance – keep your eyes and ears open, as they
take on the British Music scene.
