Biography
Heavy Traffic are a funky 5 piece from Brighton. With a sound reminiscent of records you stole from you’re older brothers’ soul collection, but re-vitalised by their cutting grooves.
It’s clear from the opening chord of ‘Broken Promises’ that Heavy Traffic mean business. From 2005 they have been exciting the South Coast with their deliberate mix of Funky Soul.
After working with Mark Flannery (Def Leppard, U2, Depeche Mode) on their debut EP, Heavy Traffic are set to make their mark on 2006.
Heavy Traffic are:
Larissa Eddie
Dan Denning
Adam Staff
Dave Cooke
Jase Day

'Retro funk with a female Lenny kravitz”
Gary Mulholland - Q Magazine

“Man that singer is HOT! The drummer grooves like a tiger and that guitarist is f****n’ cool… What more can I say?
You gotta f*****n’ see this band!!”
Simon Goldring - The Ordinary Boys

'Heavy Traffic have massive funk grooves and soulful but attitudey melodies, with one of the most talented young female vocalists around, awesome!'
Dave Neale – ROOSTER
If I lived anywhere near Brighton I know I would be seriously looking into this band!!!!’‘
