The
Hitchcock Rules are a brand new band with a brand new style.
They were brought
together by a desire to put the fun and swing back into rock music.
Having all met and started playing together at university in 2016,
the lads soon realised they were creating a sound and a vibe that
had to be shared with the rest of the world.
The Hitchcock Rules’s music blends influences of rock, pop, jazz
and funk and they are unlike any other outfit around. They write
original melodic, fun-rockin songs, which are inspired by the poems
and short stories of lyricist, front man and pianist Ryan Jones.
Ryan’s jazzy style is accented by AJ’s fluid and off the wall
fretwork and in turn his Fender sound is complemented by the pure
rock edge of Dan Cole’s Gibson. A combination that together
creates a familiar, but at the same time, completely original sound.
Add into this equation the most grooviest, fattest and sexiest
rhythm section in the known universe (Disco Stu on bass and Rich
Mulryne on drums) and you have a mouth watering prospect of
entertaining, melodious, jazzy rock that pretty girls can’t help
themselves but dance to!
With their highly
acclaimed debut album, Issue No#1, released in June 2005 on First
Aid records, and their second album already in production, The
Hitchcock Rules will be flying the flag for all the fun loving
rockers around the world.
