The Influence - November
2005's best unsigned download "WebUser"

We’re a four-piece band, writing and recording our own music.
How best to describe our sound? We aim to create
music that appeals to people in many different ways
with songs containing captivating melodies, driving
rhythms and lyrics that let the listener form their
own interpretation.
The Influence formed in 2002, as a three-piece, comprising
Jonny (Vocals / Guitar), Marcus (Bass) and Nick
(Drums). The line up was completed by the arrival of
Stu (Guitar) a few months later. Since then, we’ve been
developing our own songs and playing gigs to gain a
foothold on the music scene in Cumbria. We’re constantly
developing our live act with fresh material and
enjoy playing to new audiences and returning fans.
State of Mind is our second major release and shows how
we have developed as a band and honed our song writing
and studio skills since the release of our debut
singles - Killing Waves and Real Life. In these new
tracks, we’ve really found our sound and hope you enjoy
listening to them.
