Biography
After forming in January '04, Insert Coin took it upon themselves to rid the current music scene of manufactured pop & one hit wonders. After their maiden voyage in April '04 it became apparent that the bar had been raised for all other bands in the same boat. After relentless gigging Insert Coin decided to retreat back to where it all began with one thought in mind, "The World Is Yours." Now with the first record cut and a plethora of anthems under their belt it was time for the epidemic to break out, roll on the rest of your life.
In 2005 Insert Coin's limited edition debut EP "Sound's of the City" was released on to the shelves of HMV through Black Market Music and all copies were sold out in record time.
Leaving a space on the rack that others would find hard to fill.
Further recognition came through sell out gigs and shining reviews.

''The band is full of raw energy which they force into their music, and it’s just good fun.''

''Insert Coin make it easy to like them as they mess around on stage, having a good time with their foot-stomping beats, unpolished guitars and vocals that sound kind of like the Pogues (it sounds weird but it works). These guys are rightly headlining and are definitely ones to watch out for.''
SANDMAN MAGAZINE SEPT '05

''It has a nice blues meets country feel to it, and is both catchy and uplifting and give the impression of a band that likes to display craftsmanship in their songwriting.''
THE MUSIC GURU CD REVIEW JUNE '05

''Catchy as hell, simple and toe-tappingly good (seriously, try not tapping your feet to this track, you can't). ''
