Biography
We can only start at the beginning. We are the young who are growing old in dying towns, the voids of 20th century collapse. These towns are full of the isolated, the betrayed, the condemned. They hold nothing dear to their hearts apart from their apathy and a long distant memory of home. Where we live, you have nothing more to do than bury your ambition.

In these piss streaked towns, we formed as a direct reaction to the social degeneracy, the institutionalised racism, homophobia and sexism. On this island of shit that floats on a sea of junk, we formed to embrace the future which we are raised to believe is all we can achieve. We are the subversive crop which sprang from the seed planted by Labour, by Conservatism, by the empty promises made by liberals who never had the passion nor the courage to follow their words through. We are the crash and burn spectacular of modern culture. These are the basic aesthetics of the band. We believe in taking what we need from the past and discarding the rest, destroying it and starting again making sure we do not repeat the mistakes. The problem with many trends is that they are rehashes of the old ideas. They have no substance because they do not speak for a generation. It’s disgusting to think that there are genuinely new ideas, revolutionary moves towards the future being formulated but they are seemingly unwelcome in a world dominated by retro fashion, the most odious pieces of culture, fashion and art left over by the diminished responsibility era of the hippy generation.

We have no use for the substance less, the empty and the shallow. Our generation has no distinguishable sound. It has no life, no passion. It preaches only hedonism, ignorance and once again, diminished responsibility. It is more than frightening to see our television stations filled with trashy, unsophisticated garage bands, more than frightening to hear our radio waves filled with faceless, corporate anthems. There are no alternatives. We do not believe in these bands, we do not believe in these artists. There are no heroes. There are only anachronisms. Repugnant, atavistic prophets of nothingness. We had no choice but to become the band we could believe in, the band who would speak for everything we stand for. We want a return to the basic values of the socially and politically aware. We want to become something the disenfranchised can hold onto. We remain deeply cynical of the lies we are spoon fed every day, the blank culture that we despise.

We have been searching for years for a label who will indulge our renegade ideals. We understand that any good band must have ideas above its station. It is far more exciting, much more of a visceral thrill. Any good band should court it’s audience; take it through highs and lows, confusion and realisation, revolution and evolution. We simply have too many ideas to cope with on our own. Good music is nothing more than a soundtrack love affair. Music is not used as a carrier wave anymore. We don’t believe in any of the bands that claim to have something to say. They sound like the rest of the shit we hate. Entryism is an excellent idea as it stands but there is nothing more to these bands. I have yet to hear a band for this generation who make me want to tear down buildings or destroy institutions.
