Merseyside four piece Malorie started out in April 2015, with Kerry Brooks
(vocalist) and Ian Murphy (guitarist). After securing a deal with Candy
Productions, they set about looking for a complete line up; after many
hilarious (yeah, right) try outs with musicians, they finally grabbed onto
drummer (Terry Stone) and bass player (Stevie Lawless) and subsequently
give thanks, daily, that at least these two are - relatively -normal/sane/sober* (*delete as applicable).
Malorie's
6 track demo, comprising of the tracks Dollfaces, Einstein, Salem's
Lot, Heartburn, Overdrive, Firecracker have resulted in many radio and
press people tapping their foot and giving an all round thumbs up. These
saviours include: Radio Merseyside, Radio Lancashire, Dave Monks @
KCR,
In the City FM, Wirral News Group, Wirral Globe, Ents24.com, Halton FM,
Liverpool Daily Post. Some of these folks have allowed the
band to record sessions for them, which have gone down a
storm; the acoustic sets in particular have showed how
versatile the band is, and how strong and sweet the songs' melodies are.
