Biography |
No stranger to the
competitive music industry, P.R.Y.D.E. has consistently secured
media attention and generated a large fan base by showcasing their
talent at top regional venues and events. This young, dynamic band
writes all their music/lyrics, giving each song it’s own unique
Rock & Roll tweak by infusing original music with issues facing
today's youth. Their self-titled debut album, available now, is a
fitting example of their artistry and craft.
The evolution of this powerful band began with guitartist/frontman
Josh Sorhagen and rhythm guitarist Erick Woltz. With the addition of
drummer Travis Lovis and bassist Bobby Vivalo, P.R.Y.D.E. became
four musicians with like-minded goals, desires and creed.
P.R.Y.D. E.’s natural ability on stage has garnered the attention
of many in the industry. The band won a coveted spot on the main
stage at the Bamboozel Festival that then earned them the honor to
open for My Chemical Romance and All American Rejects. They were
nominated in the 13th Annual Asbury Music Awards and spent this past
Fourth of July at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, entertaining
10,000 U.S. troops with a rousing live concert and taste of down
home rock and roll. P.R.Y.D.E. has already been booked for a return
engagement on July 4, 2006. In addition, they have supported bands
such as Hidden In Plain View and the Jonas Brothers.
P.R.Y.D.E.’s music continues to receive international recognition
with over 100,000 plays at www.purevolume.com,
thousands of friends on MySpace.com, and exclusive songs available
at 3Gupload.com Ringtones. U.S. accolades include the band’s
appearance on MTV’s TRL “Back To School” special with Fall Out
Boy, which aired this past September.
In 2005 alone, P.R.Y.D.E. has performed 56 live concerts including
the main stage at the Asbury Park Convention Hall before an
estimated throng of 4,000, the famed Stone Pony club, New York
City’s renowned venues Don Hill’s, the Continental, and CBGBs
(where they drew a sell-out crowd as part of the MEANY Fest), and
radio station 103.7’s State Fair event. Since May of this year,
WDHA 105.5 “the Rock of New Jersey” has played the band’s
music regularly, and enthusiastic audiences and rabid fans have
purchased 1,800 copies of P.R.Y.D.E.’s self-titled debut CD as
well as over 1,000 t-shirts and band posters. With all this activity
and acknowledgement, it‘s clear that P.R.Y.D.E. is being thought
of as one of today’s hottest rising bands.
