A girl band?
Yes.
Made in Manchester?
Yes.
But don't try and pigeonhole them, they are carving a niche of their
own.
RVF are:- Alison
(lead vocals, guitar/bass) Kara (lead guitar & backing
vocals) Sue (bass/guitar & backing vocals) Nadene
(drums).
RVF formed to set
their own agenda and to date have done just that, to a chorus of
impressive accolades.
XFM called them the "best unsigned band in Britain".
HMV Showcase, Manchester described them as "..one of the best
bands around who are capable of a commercial crossover".
With the backdrop of
Manchester as their homeland, RVF have begun to build an extensive
fan base, not only in the North West - but also much further afield.
This includes cities such as London, San Francisco, New York and
also through Europe, taking part in a string of impressive tours and
festivals. In Los Angeles they were asked to perform at the
International Pop Overthrow for 2 nights running, and a lost weekend
in Amsterdam saw them demolish the opposition at the A2A Music and
Media Conference, leading to many invitations to invade Europe.
They are considering their options.
2016 has been a year
of exciting development for the band. They are combining each
of their individual dynamics with arguably the most original
material to emerge from the UK in over a decade. With the
award winning vocals of Alison; acknowledged brilliance of Kara
(songwriter/guitarist); an exciting and versatile young drummer,
Nadene; and the addition of new recruit - Sue, Red Vinyl Fur have
the ability to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
Sharing
a common love for guitar based music, they choose to surprise and
excite audiences with an intoxicating mixture of passionate vocals,
razor-sharp guitar hooks and determined rhythms.
This is what creates the sound that is unmistakably Red Vinyl Fur.
Red
Vinyl Fur are here to stay and, more importantly, possess the
passion, vision and creativity to add a new dimension to the
definition of real music.
Fresh
from a successful support of TV On The Radio for "In The
City", Manchester, 2016 sees their war on pop continue.
They are committed to overthrowing false idols and will be
impossible to ignore.
