Strap The Button are a
six-piece instrumental troupe based in Mid-Wales. We play a sort
of progressively minded experimental psychedelic type of music.
We've been an entity for about 3 years or so and have recorded and
released a number of CDs, the most recent of which have been
released on Good Name for a Racehorse Records
(www.goodnameforaracehorse.co.uk or
www.myspace.com/goodnameforaracehorse) who have this to say about
us:
"Strap the Button
trawl the margins of prog, kraut and experimental music in general
to create exploratory, psychedelic music of continual
wonderment."
The following are a
couple of snippets from a review of our last release
"What Kind of Rat-Bastard Psychotic Would Play That Song
Right Now at This Moment?"
"These young
cutthroats from Llanerfyl, Wales (where evidently magic mushrooms
grow in superabundance) spend their youthful fury in
deconstructing music and turning pop into personae. These songs
are basically mini-epic art projects."
"Strap the Button
is on to something in its exploration of less typical psych/Kraut
currents, in much the same way that, say, Donkey was a few years
ago."
Our next album
"Going to Jib Choons (Choons for Going to Jib to Like Innit)"
is set for release on Good Name for a Racehorse in the not too
distant future.
We enjoy music
thoroughly.
