Terraplane formed in
mid 2005, at a time when Liverpool was overthrown by emo/metal/
and indie bands, there were very few bands trying to keep the
faith in old style blues music.
Terraplane formed
through a love of gigging, the blues, and determination.
Being Three piece, the
band wanted to reform the classic 60's blues rock feel, with the
likes of Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Peter Green Splinter
Group & Free showing through.
This band play an
energetic mix between Delta Blues, American Jazz, & British
Rock, and have successfully made a name for themselves in reviving
their interpretation of blues music.
The name "
Terraplane " comes from the classic Robert Johnson song,
" Terraplane Blues ", about the trials and tribulations
of a man, his car, and his woman.
Terraplane are still
going strong throughout Liverpool and the north west in general.
