Biography |
Standing in the front
row, it is immediately apparent that this isn’t your average
‘student’ band. It may have only been a few months since the
line-up became
complete but the chemistry onstage is undeniable. UgLi appear
totally ‘in
tune’ with each other, whilst their passion for performing live is
almost tangible.
Already in their short career, UgLi have notched an impressive
number of achievements.
Reaching the final shortlist of bands in The Three Mobile Student
Music Awards, meant their live video, recorded at LCC, London, has
appeared on a number of
TV Channels, and also on the MSN website, reaching potentially
millions of viewers.
Their debut EP, trash, along with their live shows has earned them
comparisons with artists
such as Audioslave, The White Stripes, Reef, Muddy Waters and The
Black Keys. Whilst UgLi are not scared to reach back to their
diverse musical roots, they have their vision set clearly in the
future. UgLi have a belief in their music, which is
immediately apparent in the passion
with which it is performed. Lyrically it is about real life experiences
of today. Musically, it comes from deep down within.
