Ladies
& gents we give you - Albany Down of Leicester, one of the
hottest upcoming live acts in the UK, formed in 2002 when
songwriters Keith Martin (28, vocals) and Swin (26, bass) first
collaborated on a score for a radio advertisement, Albany Down now
consists of guitarists Chris Reynolds (22), Paul Turley (22) &
drummer Alex Hall (18) completing the powerful 5 piece line up
Albanys
sound has evolved from the bands varied taste in music including
British Indie, West Coast L.A rock & psychedelic
dance, maintaining a vintage sensitivity and contemporary aggressive
energy.
Recently
2 of ADs tracks, S.Y.D (radio edit) & Morning have been used by
O’neill sportswear in their global winter advertising campaign.
The
boys are soon to be heading into 2khz studios in London working with
producer Rich Matthews (The Futureheads, The Rakes, British Sea
Power) to complete their as yet untitled debut album due for release
late March, watch out for these in 2006.
