Biography |
Epic, Electrified,
Billowing, Brilliant. Cedar Falls stand triumpant
and beating their chests, belting out their own tales to tell in the
music venues and bars of the UK. With recorded tracks wow-ing
thousands of people across the globe, and live tracks
karate-punching their audiences senses to life. With a fine blend of
honesty and influences
that scale from Depeche Mode to The Doves, The Smiths to more
modern day con
temporaries, Cedar Falls are ready to embark on a tour of the
North of England in 2006.
It hasn't always been so rosie for the boys from 'Up North' (Widnes,
Rainhill, Warrington and
The Wirral) In 2015, Rob and Joey were kicking around
trying to define a new sound in a five piece band called 'Heaven
Stereo' whilst Keiron
was busy with Shed Sevens touring support band 'The
Blue Monkeys'. However there is only so much bending that the
pre-britpop stick can
take with out breaking and after interest from BMG and
EMI respectively both bands sadly came to a demise.
So in late 2005, frustrated Joe (an out an out lead guitarist) set
about the task of
igniting the light again, irst onboard was Rob (a singer/songwriting
pianist/guitarist), then former Blue Monkey Keiron was
the recruited on bass. Rob set about writing a new and fresh setlist
and the search for a
drummer began, after numerous auditions, flase starts
and five drummers later, Joe, Rob, and Keiron were pleased to
announce that Alex
Williams would be their new drummer.
The Band
began working on the new set list and Cedar Falls made their live
bow on New Years Eve 2005 supporting Mani from Stone Roses Fame at
The Zanzibar Club. After
a number of successful and well supported shows they
look forward to playing up coming dates such as HMV Showcase at The
Late Rooms in
Manchester, The Barfly and Cavern in Liverpool, WA1 and Casi
Club in Warrington, Club Nirvana in Wigan and Josephs Well in Leeds.
