Hi Beatleworld !

Hm… What is left to say after this amazing Beatle week?

Let’s see… Ah YES !
First Thanks to Vic and Ian and to all the fellows of CCT for their incredible work to offer us, once again the best we could wish and have. So Vic and Ian, all my loving and congrats. Highest and warmest thanks to the rest of the CCT band I do not know.
All my thanks too to Lawrence “Macca” Gilmour, who magically sang Beatles and Paul as nobody else. So, Lawrence, Judy Garland thanks you from the bottom of her heart, for this and for your kindness. You MUST be there next year (with My Brave Face?)  to fill me, and many others, with joy again.
All my loving to the Tearaways for their heavy Californian rock sound as I do love it that made me being alive as never, their simplicity. So Perry, Jesse, Dave, Greg and Fin, thanks to ton for all and see you next year. Thanks to Jamie, “Uncle” and Kyle too.
A very warm thanks to the Mad Dogs for revisiting the Beatles: very interesting!!!! Thanks for the sun they have in their heart and who brought it from their country. The same to you: will be delighted to see you next year guys.

We had some great days in Liverpool this year. We've been here 11 years and the band and the festival improved quite a lot over the years. The highlight for us this time was our concert in the Adelphi main stage and Strawberry fields garden party on Saturday.

And so it's over again for another year.. I can hardly believe that was my fifth Beatle Week!
It can be a lonely existence being a young-ish Beatles fan in the 21st Century- so as always, it's fab and gear (and all those other pimply hyperboles) to be reassured that I am not alone in my 'freaky obsession'!
Highlights were the ever-wonderful Fab Faux, The Australian Beatels, Beatalls UK, my fellow Brummies The Prellies, new discovery the adorable Beatlemaniacs, and of course the totally amazing Rutles (Barry Wom, you legend!)
See you all next year!
So much Beatle love, Emily x

Thanks to all for your efforts...we had a BLAST!
Pete Dicks and the BeatlesandBeyond gang

Hi.
We will thank you all, audience, staff and all bands for a really pleasant Beatle week!
Hope to see you all next year!
Here are some pics from the gigs.

See you next year

This was my 4th Beatle Week and 3rd in row, this time with my sister Heather from Canada. The two of us travelled the long and winding road in order to roll up for the magical mystery tour that just keeps getting better all the time. Impossible to select a favourite performer but special mention must go to Fab Faux, Hal Bruce, The Beatlemaniacs, Lennon's Magic Elbow, the Overtures, the Merseybeatles and Julia Baird for providing some very memorable moments.
The personal highlight for me was the tremendous response from the people in The Empress (the hotel Ringo used on the cover of Sentimental Journey) to a Beatle
Week tribute song that I wrote and The Beatlemaniacs have recorded.
I have 10 copies available for any Beatle fans who would like one. They can write to me at amillen@bluewin.ch  to arrange mailing.
Please use "Beatle Tribute Song" in the subject line.

Hi everybody,
Just back from this years Beatle week, it was brilliant as usual, what I can remember anyway! It just seems to get better every year. Bands, were again, superb, highlights for me were Mad Dogs, The Norwegian Beatles, the guitar solo on While my guitar gently weeps was the best I've ever heard, but once again the band that stole the show again were The Prellies, where the energy comes from night after night I cant imagine. Its the raw energy that goes into their set that does it for me. Already looking forward to next year, see you then,
Willie, Davey, Rab and Curly from Fife.

Lots of fantastic photos from the very best bands, highlights being the unsurpassed FAB FAUX Ex Factor Beatles Solo Concert, their Beatles Show, the amazing gigs by the Swedish Rolling Stones Tribute ROCKS OFF, the fabulous 60s Tribute THE REPEATLES (also from Sweden) and not the least – the QUEEN Tribute from Argentina, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN (Dios Salve a la Reina), who’s awesome gigs at Pier Head and The Cavern will never be forgotten by the big crowd that attended.
I stood right in front of the stage at The Cavern and the photos and videos I shot there are the best I’ve ever made. Just awesome! Hope you like them too!
I enclose 4 of my best pictures to be included in your scrapbook as sample pictures.
Enjoy!

Hiya
I've got those "this time last week I was..." blues, so to help ease the pain, here's ma wee review of Beatleweek:
This year's Beatleweek was heavenly, hot as hell, and full of earthly delights, my highlights being Hal Bruce (such a trooper for stepping in at the Cavern Pub when the Clube Big Beatles failed to show on Tuesday and he was trying to have a quiet drink), the ever-funky Fab Faux, Lawrence Gilmour (what a gent, and scottish too, it just doesn't get better than that! Primetime slot next year please CCT!), Back From The USSR (Alena with the voice of an angel) Repeatles (and how cool was their Travis Bickle roadie?), Dios Salve a la Reina (what a finale at the Cavern on Tues night, tears were flowing, and that was just the men!), and not to mention the rocking Prellies (I told you not mention them).
But above all of them, for me, towers the mighty Mad Dogs, (and roadie Robert). This being their 3rd year now, this fantastic group of musicians - joined by their 'mascot' Neemias on sax for his first time in Liverpool - are starting to gather the following they truly deserve (you will know them by their t-shirts). Bringing their Brazilian rhythms to bear upon classic Beatle tracks, they put the bossa into I Feel Fine, the samba into Eleanor Rigby and the tango into Michelle (lead singer CBI's unique performance has to be seen to be believed!). Add to this that they are amongst the nicest and grooviest funsters to play at Beatleweek, well my convention would just not have been the same without their presence. CCT please please bring them back next year, you know you want to!! Thanks to Cavern City Tours for making the whole experience wonderful from start to finish, and to all the other bands and fellow fans whose positive vibes make Beatleweek the absolute pleasure it is. Long may you reign!
Shirley (and Dek) from Glasgow

Hey guys, This was our first time at the festival. We all had a fantastic time and by tuesday when we played 'I'm Only Sleeping' at the Cavern Club it felt very appropriate. Thanks for everyone who came to our gigs over the weekend. One highlight for us was when Freddie from God Save The Queen sung Bohemian Rhapsody with us at the Cavern Pub. Feel free to visit our website and post and comments if you saw us. www.lennonsmagicelbow.com

Hi to everyone who enjoyed this year 's Beatleweek (surely that's everyone). I had a great time, the audiences were fantastic, the sound crews excellent, bar staff at The Cavern when it was really busy, Oh! and the bands weren't bad either! I'd like to particularly thank the guys who supplied me with drink all night at The Adelphi, and the guys at the Cavern pub who were singing "The Mighty Quinn" at the end. (I didn't think that was a Beatles song, maybe I should learn it!). Any way , I hope to see you all again next year, if not sooner. There are more pictures on my web site at www.garyquinn .info Thanks again to all involved
